Bola Tinubu, presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), says social media gives him high blood pressure.
In a viral video on Saturday, Tinubu said he has stopped using social media.
The APC flagbearer said he gets a lot of abuse on the internet which makes him angry.
“I don’t read social media anymore; they abuse the hell out of me,” he said in the undated video clip.
“If I read it, I get high blood pressure. I get angry. I don’t read it. So, if I want to hear anything, my children or my workers will tell me ‘this one said this’.
“If I am tired, I say please, forget it.”
The former Lagos governor recently asked Nigerians not to give up on his party.
Speaking at the burial ceremony of Grace Akeredolu, mother of Rotimi Akeredolu, governor of Ondo, Tinubu said the APC would do better to improve the lives of Nigerians.
“Thank God we are alive. There might be weaknesses and inadequacies in expectations. No one wants failure,” he said.
“You cannot give up on us. We will do better. We will contribute to the improvement you might want.”
Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) are the frontrunners for the 2023 presidential election.
