American super boxer Deontay Wilder has claimed that he is not thinking or worried about facing British opponent Anthony Joshua thereby calling him a coward. Deontay Wilder is seriously preparing for his next fight against Tyson Fury which will be a tough duel for these two warriors considering what transpired when they first met. They are going to meet on February 22 in which there are reports that the winner between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder could face Anthony Joshua.
Anthony Joshua on the other hand is said to have made it clear that he wants to face Tyson Fury because he believes his fellow countryman would defeat Deontay Wilder.
His statement came after beating American/Mexican boxer Andy Ruiz in Saudi Arabia where Anthony Joshua reclaimed his belts back. It is on record that Andy Ruiz inflicted the first ever defeat on Anthony Joshua when they first met, and the loss propelled the Brit and his crew to offer a rematch which he won.
And while speaking during his conference call, Deontay Wilder made it clear that he is not interested in speaking about Anthony Joshua because he believes the Brit is not relevant to him. Wilder stated clearly that Anthony Joshua is not relevant again claiming that people are no longer talking about him despite recently beating Andy Ruiz. The 34-year-old added that he is not ready to be drawn into tussle with Anthony Joshua because he is only focusing on facing Tyson Fury. He added that he is the champion of the world and it will be difficult for him to be beaten by Tyson Fury when they meet again later this month.
