The federal government has selected six witnesses who would testify against the publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore, at a Federal High Court in Abuja. Premium Times reports that the trial which will commence on Tuesday, September 24, will include witnesses who are investigation officers on the matter and some bank officials. The witnesses – Paul Clement, Moses Amadi, Cyril Odawn and Paul Okafor, who are all investigative officers – are expected to give an account of their finding on Sowore.
The officers will tell the court how the publisher turned activist mobilised youths across Nigeria for a revolution against the seating democratically elected government. Also, the other witnesses from two different banks, GTB and UBA will testify on Sowore’s banking statements
