The NCDC further informed in its tweet, that three of the new cases are returning travellers into Nigeria, while the remaining two are close contacts of a confirmed case
The Centre noted that two of the cases have been discharged while it has so far recorded only one death – that of 67-year-old Suleiman Achimugu, a former managing director of Pipeline and Product Marketing Company (PPMC), a subsidiary of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).
Achimugu was reported to have been suffering from diabetes and cancer when the viral disease struck him.
