former Chairman of Nigeria’s National Human Rights Commission, Prof Chidi Odinkalu, Convener of Concerned Nigerians, Deji Adeyanju, and others in the rights community have arrived the Federal High Court, Abuja, to show support for journalist, Omoyele Sowore, whose trial commences today.
Nobel Laurate, Prof Wole Soyinka, and a former senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Shehu Sani, had both earlier arrived in court in solidarity with Sowore as well.
journalist is facing charges of cyberstalking and treason brought against him by the Nigerian Government for calling on citizens to demand a better country from the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
