Nigerian born midfielder, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru scored for Manchester City as they beat Shakhtar in the UEFA Youth League in the competition.

Dele-Bashiru and two other Nigeria-eligible youngsters in the shape of Gavin Bazunu and Nathanael Ogbeta were included in City’s starting line-up.
Rogers opened the scoring for the Blues in the 11th minute, tapping in from close range after a shot taken by Dele-Bashiru was blocked and fell kindly for him.
Although the Nigerian midfielder is claiming the assist, the official website of UEFA recorded it as an unassisted goal since a Shakhtar Donetsk player touched the ball last before Rogers struck.
At minute 23, Dele-Bashiru doubled City’s advantage with a brilliant shot from 20 yards out.
Writing on Instagram, the Manchester City U19s number 10 said, ”5-0 win vs Shakhtar 1 goal, 1 assist.”
Fisayo Dele-Bashiru trained with the Flying Eagles in Germany before their trip to Poland for the 2019 FIFA U20 World Cup.
