Six people kidnapped from a community in Adamawa State last week have been released.
The six were taken away on the 5th of this month from where they were breeding cattle in Gurin, Fufore Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
A source in the community, Dahiru Abubakar Gurin, said on Sunday that the six had regained their freedom, but he said nothing about ransom payment.
“The six kidnapped persons in Gurin regained their freedom this morning,” Dahiru Gurin who is a relation of four of the six victims, said in a text message.
The families had since the kidnap kept quiet about the discussions with the kidnappers, but it was gathered that the kidnappers first demanded N10 million, on which negotiations had been on.
